A family table on Rahway Ave.

Holy Restaurant began with a simple idea: serve the Haitian food we grew up with — exactly the way it was made at home. No shortcuts, no compromises. The same marinade for the griot. The same long simmer for the legume. The juices pressed fresh, the way they should be.

Today, neighbors from Elizabeth and friends from across New Jersey crowd our dining room for big portions and a warm welcome. The staff is family. The recipes are family. And when you walk in, so are you.
